National Guide Dog Month is a month-long celebration set aside to honour the work of guide dogs and raise awareness, appreciation, and support for guide dog schools.

With Worcester having the School for the Blind, we see these dogs almost everyday in our town. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘀 – 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. Guide dogs are assistance dogs trained to lead blind or visually impaired people through the vision-relates challenges of daily life.

In honour of this month we celebrate the South African Guide Dog Association, Pionier School, Institute for the Blind, Innovation for the Blind and all the other organizations who do such great work for blind or visually impaired people. We honour you and your hard work!
